A Whole House Line Conditioner can eliminate virtually all the manifestations of "dirty" electricity that enter a household.  Efficiency and clarity of signal will be reflected in audio and visual characteristics of equipment used inside the protective sphere of the house.  Same goes for data transmission situations.  Consequently, efficiency will also rise and the electronics in question will operate with better power.  Given enough motors, transformer products and a variety of electrical equipment used inside the protected area it is conceivable that the devices used within the sphere of the protection could engender some noise and voltage fluctuations of their own.  However, due to already being protected by a Whole House Conditioner this will be much less than otherwise.  An additional caveat is that internal wiring can benefit by being kept to the best quality with special audio cabling and such used as necessary.  Poor wiring and faulty installation practices can defeat part of the advantages gained in using a Whole House Line Conditioner.

Alternatives to the Whole House Line Conditioner

As already mentioned, one could opt for a simpler and less expensive whole house surge protector.  If one is not using top-of-the-line A/V and data equipment or has few such items it might be a viable option.  There are also power centers available which allow the house to operate on some residually stored power for a given length of time.  They are like super UPS systems.  These are expensive, but may be viable if one has a lot of quality equipment or is running a business at home for which there exists a lot of electronics.  If the really sensitive equipment is contained in a certain area of the house one could resort to a more localized in-wall line conditioner, surge control or constant voltage regulator.  Other alternatives are to depend on a rackmounted PDU or local movable surge controls, line conditioners or UPS systems.
